Moore, Paul (CA)
Moore is a member of the prestigious Cowboy Artists of America and a Fellow of the National Sculpture Society in New York, NY. He has garnered numerous awards including Anne Marion/Best of Show, a Gold Medal for Sculpture, the Ray Swanson Award and 4 additional Silver Medals at the annual Cowboy Artists of America Show since becoming a member in 2009. He has also received Gold and Silver Medals for sculpture, in addition to numerous other awards, from the National Sculpture Society’s annual exhibition. In 2013 he received the Oklahoma Governor Arts Award.
Paul Moore is a fifth generation Oklahoman and a citizen of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation. In the past thirty seven years, he has sculpted more than 140 commissions for numerous municipal, corporate, private and international collections.
His work is in the US Capital Collection, the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery, the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, Brookgreen Gardens Collection, and the Oklahoma State Capital Collection. For the past 14 years Moore has been working on the Oklahoma Centennial Land Run Monument in Oklahoma City, one of the largest free-standing bronze sculptures in the world.
